01. Using your account
Use your own SRM student account. Signing in lets Roomie retrieve your student and hostel information and display your name, institutional email, and the mobile number you provide to other registered students in the same room. Do not share access, impersonate another student, or try to access someone else’s room information.
02. Contact pass
The contact pass costs ₹11 INR as a one-time payment and unlocks available matched-roommate phone numbers and SRM emails for 11 calendar months from verified activation. It does not renew automatically. Names remain visible without payment. The pass follows your account; it does not guarantee that other students have joined or that hostel information is available. Check your access expiry and payment status in Transactions. See the Refund Policy for verified access failures or duplicate payments.
03. Treat people well
Use roommate contact information only to connect about shared hostel life. Harassment, unsolicited marketing, bulk collection of student information, and redistribution of roommate details are not permitted.
04. Information and availability
Roomie depends on the information and availability of SRM’s student service. Room allocations can change, and a roommate appears only after signing in to this server. Check official university channels when you need confirmation of an allocation or academic record.
05. An independent project
Roomie is made by SRM alumni. It is an independent student-community project and is not an official university service. Features may change as the project develops. Contact the maintainers if you have questions or wish to stop sharing your roommate profile.
